The Hollies Pre-School

About The Hollies Pre-school

The Hollies Pre-school, formerly Hollies Playgroup, was opened in September 1976 by a group of Poynton mums, who happened to be teachers, when they could not find a playgroup in Poynton where they felt their children would develop within an ordered group during the very important pre-school years.

Three pre-school assistants working towards NVQ level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development.

Two pre-school assistants with NVQ level 2 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development.

We have five bank staff who cover sickness and holidays. Although not qualified these staff have years of experience and receive training relating to the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We are committed to safeguarding all our children at the Hollies, therefore rigorous checks including Enhanced DBS checks are carried out before the employment of a new member of staff can commence.

There are at least two members of staff at each session who have completed a recognised First Aid course.

All staff must agree and abide by the policies of the Pre-School regarding discipline etc and will be dismissed if they are found not to do so.

All staff are carefully selected and a very high standard of commitment is demanded from them to ensure the best possible care for your children.
