The Hollies Pre-school, formerly Hollies Playgroup, was opened in September 1976 by a group of Poynton mums, who happened to be teachers, when they could not find a playgroup in Poynton where they felt their children would develop within an ordered group during the very important pre-school years.

Pre-school Sessions, Registration Forms, Policies and Holiday Clubs

The Hollies Pre-school, are based on the Lower Park School site and we are open 7:30am to 6:00pm, 51 weeks a year, for *2 year olds or above (see note below).

*Children can start pre-school at the beginning of the half-term after they are 2.

We also operate as a breakfast and afterschool club for children attending Lower Park School.  In addition we operate a holiday club for 2 to 11 year olds which welcomes all children from all schools and pre-schools. Click here for details on our holiday clubs.

Pre-school children are able to attend term-time only or 51 weeks a year.  Term-time only children have the option of attending occasional days in the holiday if required.

The session times and fees are as follows for term-time:

We have set a standard hourly rate of £4.75 which applies from 7:30am-6:00pm. (All fees are correct at time of printing but fees are reviewed annually and can be subject to change)

After School 3:00pm - 6:00pm Pre-school £14.25* *price includes drink and tea-time snack
After School 3.15pm – 6.00pm Primary School £13.06* *price includes drink and tea-time snack

We will be closed on bank holidays and the period between the Christmas and New Year.

Invoices
You will be provided with a termly invoice once your sessions have been booked. You can opt to pay the invoice in full, half termly or monthly and these amounts will be indicated to you. You can pay fees by cash, cheque, BACS transfer, salary sacrifice vouchers or a mixture.

For all sessions relating to primary school and pre-school children we will require 1 months’ notice in writing (can be email) if you wish to cancel any sessions prior to the start of each half-term, otherwise 50% of the full half-term fees will be invoiced. GOVERNMENT FREE EARLY EDUCATION FUNDING ENTITLEMENT, SESSION HOURS AND FEES

All 3 and 4 year olds will be entitled to 15 hours free childcare per week for 38 weeks a year. Please click here to read or download the letter with details of how these can be accessed at The Hollies.

Additional Notes:
If you wish to cancel a session for a full term or half term we will need notice in writing, one calendar month prior to the start of the term or half term, via letter or email to admin@theholliespreschool.co.uk. If notice is not received in this timeframe cancellation charges will be applied as specified in the relevant Fees and Booking Policies. A full fees and booking policy will be sent with confirmation of sessions.
